Biography
Cinthia believes in a family-centered approach to providing care, allowing for holistic rehabilitation. She combines evidence-based practices with caregiver training to bridge the gap between the treatment room and everyday living. Cinthia's areas of interest include cleft lip and craniofacial disorders, motor speech disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, differential diagnostics, and pediatric feeding. Cinthia began her clinical work as a school based speech-language pathologist with an emphasis on language and literacy development, as well as providing treatment to children on the Autism Spectrum. Cinthia holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and has presented her research on 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome at the the Oregon Speech-Language Hearing Association's annual conference. In her spare time, Cinthia enjoys spending time with her husband and her six children, cooking and playing outdoors.
