Mariam Ischander, MD

Dr. Ischander is board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine. She received her medical degree at the Alexandria University School of Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt. She completed fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at the University of California-Irvine. Before joining Randall Children’s Hospital, she served as an instructor/assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) and then as an assistant professor of pediatrics at Loma Linda University, including serving as the medical director of the home ventilator program. Dr. Ischander’s clinical interests include neuromuscular pulmonary care, home mechanical ventilation, cystic fibrosis, asthma and interstitial lung diseases. Dr. Ischander enjoys walking, listening to music and helping others.
