Brooke has particular clinical interest in the areas of dysphagia, craniofacial disorders (cleft lip and palate), motor speech disorders (childhood apraxia of speech), phonological disorders, hearing loss, language disorders and voice disorders. 'Brooke Berard, MS, CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital, where she works with a wide range of patients, from pediatric to adult. Brooke works with children with a variety of disorders, including, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, hearing impairment, childhood apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language disorder, articulation disorder, phonological processing disorder, voice disorder, and dysphagia. She also works with adults with dysphagia, cognitive linguistic deficits, dysarthria, and apraxia. Brooke earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication at the University of Washington. She earned her master of science degree in Communicative Science and Disorders at New York University. Brooke is a Level I trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist. Additional continuing education has included coursework in feeding and dysphagia. Brooke holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the Oregon and Washington State Departments of Health.

In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family, including her two dogs. "
