Heather holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, is licensed by the Washington State Department of Health, and holds her Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate from the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Heather is a Level I trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist as she has a special interest in the treatment of motor speech delays. She is also certified in the Hanen “It Takes Two to Talk” program (for parents of children with language delay) and is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). Additional continuing education has included coursework by Michelle Garcia Winner in teaching Social Communication to children with High Functioning Autism/Social Cognitive deficits, and coursework in improving literacy skills in children.
