Biography

Viken Douzdjian, MD, is the Surgical Director of Transplantation at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Douzdjian is also the Medical Director of the Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank.

Dr. Douzdjian received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where he also completed his residency in General Surgery. Dr. Douzdjian completed his Multiorgan Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.

Dr. Douzdjian is board certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and well as the American Society of Transplantation. He also sits on national committees with the United Network for Organ Sharing, which regulates the field of transplantation.

Dr. Douzdjian has been nationally recognized for his work in organ transplants by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
