Biography

Dr. Kinast is both a comprehensive ophthalmologist and a subspecialist in Glaucoma at Legacy Good Samaritan's Devers Eye Institute. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, followed by an internship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He completed subspecialty training at Devers Eye Institute. Dr. Kinast joined Devers in 2012 where he divides his time between Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Glaucoma. His clinical interests include all areas of comprehensive ophthalmology including treatment of cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. His subspecialty is glaucoma surgery and medical and laser treatment of glaucoma. Away from medicine, Dr. Kinast enjoys hiking, traveling, basketball and chess.
