Comprehensive, personal care
The Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon was the first facility in the state to coordinate vocational training, counseling, and physical and occupational therapies - all in one location.
Today we continue to serve adult patients from across the Pacific Northwest, providing round-the-clock medical and rehab services in a caring environment. Our mission is to help people return to living in their community, whether it's independently or with a little extra help.
Our comfortable facility offers semi-private rooms, 24-hour nursing care, individual and group therapy, meals, medications, television, telephone and newspapers. On a typical day, patients receive a customized daily schedule of therapy and other activities, with rest breaks provided as needed. Throughout the process, we welcome and encourage family members to be involved in therapy sessions and planning conferences.
During the initial evaluation phase the patient, caregiver(s) and rehabilitation team develop functional goals, estimated length of stay and discharge date. Then under the medical direction of rehabilitation physicians (physiatrists), we create a personalized treatment plan designed to best meet each patient's needs. Weekly team conferences allow us to evaluate progress and make any necessary plan adjustments for the best possible results.
