The highest standard of care

While a combination of diet and exercise is the healthiest and least invasive way to lose weight, fewer than one in 20 morbidly obese individuals can lose weight and permanently keep it off. If other digestive health measures to lose weight have failed, it may be time to consider surgical weight loss (also called bariatric surgery) through the Legacy Good Samaritan Weight Management Institute.

The Institute is accredited by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence for surgical weight loss. This designation by a credible, objective surveyor proves that our program offers the highest standard of care.

Our facility recognizes the special needs of obese patients by offering extra-wide doors and chairs and weight-assisted tables. We've also invested in a range of  specialized equipment to maximize your comfort: beds, wheelchairs, recliners, stretchers and more.
