Care within seconds at the Chest Pain Center+
Patients with chest pain or other heart attack symptoms are treated within seconds at our new Chest Pain Center. Care actually begins in the ambulance and continues in the emergency room.
Patients are either immediately admitted as an inpatient or for observation. Those under observation are either discharged within 24 to 48 hours or admitted to the hospital for more acute treatment.
And if a patient is actually having a heart attack when they arrive at the hospital, our award-winning cardiac intervention program has everything that's needed, right on the spot.
To quote intensive care nurse Jennifer Stafford, who helped establish the center, "It's a tremendous resource for our community."
