Early detection is key to preventing or treating disease. Legacy offers an extensive heart and stroke screening package aimed at helping you stay healthy.
Are you at risk?
Many medical issues that can be discovered by a screening have no symptoms or warning signs, so understanding risk factors is an important part of early awareness. Risk factors can include:
- Family history of heart disease or stroke
- Pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure
- Lifestyle choices such as smoking, alcohol use, lack of exercise and poor diet that can affect your cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood sugar levels and body fat
- Being 60 years of age or older

Our screening includes:
- Abdominal aortic ultrasound
- Blood pressure
- Body fat analysis
- Bone density / osteoporosis screening
- Carotid ultrasound
- Complete cholesterol and glucose levels
- Complimentary sleep disorders assessment (at some locations)
- Consultation with a Legacy cardiac nurse
- Educational materials
- Peripheral artery disease assessment
Schedule and cost
Wellness screenings are available monthly at several of our hospitals; should you require follow-up treatment as a result of a screening, our entire network of medical services is available to you.

Cost: $175.00 Because this is a community-based screening, we don't bill insurance or file insurance claims as part of this program.
