Support groups, community programs and research

Legacy sponsors several diabetes support groups, as well as groups for people who are insulin dependent, use an insulin pump, and for the parents of children with juvenile diabetes. Please call 503-413-7348 to find out the times and locations of these groups or see this list of Legacy's diabetes classes and support groups.

The Good Samaritan Foundation sponsors on-going fundraising activities in support of diabetes education and research.

Legacy is involved in a variety of diabetes-related research projects, some of which are available for patient participation. See Legacy Research for a description of current research activities and clinical trials.

You may also contact the diabetes programs at any Legacy hospital, Legacy Clinic St. Helens or Legacy Clinic Woodburn for information on groups and events happening at that facility and in the community. See a list of our locations for the one nearest you.
