The Legacy Clinical Research and Technology Center is a 65,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art research facility where a wide range of clinical, laboratory-based and preclinical research activity is concentrated. The Legacy Central Laboratories for Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology are located at this facility as well.

Administrative Services
Designing, funding, implementing and managing a research project is a complex and time consuming process. Legacy Research Services provides investigators with consultation and the necessary support services, including:
- Regulatory Compliance Oversight, IRB* and IACUC
- Legal Review Coordination
- Financial Management of Grants, Contracts and Sponsored Studies
- Proposal Development and Medical Writing
- Peer Review
- Facilities Support and Management

Comparative Medicine and Pathology
Legacy Research has a comprehensive program of veterinary care and pathology in support of the research and teaching activities of Legacy scientists and clinicians. The comparative medicine facility at The Legacy Clinical Research and Technology Center encompasses over 8500 square feet. The state-of-the-art unit includes holding and procedure rooms, labs, and quarantine and necropsy facilities. The program is accredited by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC).
Veterinary care includes prevention, diagnosis and treatment of spontaneous and experimentally induced diseases, post-operative care, reviewing research protocols to assure compliance with animal welfare standards, and monitoring the safe use of radioisotopes, hazardous substances, and infectious agents.
Surgical Facilities
The Legacy Clinical Research and Technology Center has four operating suites to accommodate surgical research. Each suite is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation to provide the best environment for all aspects of experimental surgery. The facility includes a mobile C-arm unit controled by microprocessor technology with an image intensifier. The surgical facility has adjacent classroom and conference space.
