Biography

Dr. Dorsen earned his medical degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. Following his internship and military service in the Royal Australian Air Force, he completed his neurosurgical residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He practiced in Austin, Texas for 19 years and was the founding partner of the largest private practice neurosurgical group in the city. He relocated to Oregon in 1999 and continued in private practice until joining Legacy as a staff neurosurgeon in 2004. He has now returned to the private sector to continue his practice. He is board-certified in Neurosurgery. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Dr. Dorsen is married and has 2 grown children, one living in Oregon and the other in Texas. He enjoys traveling, skiing, fine dining and working out at the gym when time permits.
