Laura received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1985 from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Evans has spent the past 12 years at Legacy Meridian Park Hospital specifically treating cancer and lymphedema clients in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Ms. Evans brings a wide range of experience to her practice.
Areas of particular interest are lymphedema management, post surgical breast cancer pain and dysfunction syndromes, mobility issues due to bone metastasis, radiation fibrosis, neurological impairment or generalized weakness, fatigue, or balance problems.
Methods of treatment include manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, strain-counter strain, gait, balance, and neuromuscular re-education to restore function. Patient and family education is integral within treatment sessions.
