Daria Gray, MS CCC-SLP, received her undergraduate degree from SUNY at Geneseo and her Master's degree in Communication Disorders from College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. She has had extensive experience working with both children and adults having mental and physical handicaps. She worked individually and in groups with people in skilled nursing facilities as well as inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings before transitioning to Meridian Park Hospital in 1993. Initially, she provided both acute care and outpatient services. She is a certified VitalStim provider and worked extensively in stroke rehabilitation, post-stroke education and support through the Stroke Survivor Group, facilitating that group for the past 15 yrs. Dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation are also areas of interest and service provision. Her most recent interests include: the Healing Garden development program at MPMC along with continuing efforts to expand the outpatient program with groups for music/conversation, self-paced learning lab and current events/conversation.
