"During my 20 years of experience on active duty in the United States Navy, I was able to practice, teach, and provide leadership in the wide spectrum of general surgery. My clinical experience included a preponderance of surgical oncology, endoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, surgical critical care, and emergent general surgery.

On my retirement from Naval Service as Captain (06) in 2001, I was recruited to the nationally recognized Legacy Emanuel Trauma Program for my leadership and clinical skills to serve as Medical Director of Surgical Critical Care."
