Biography

William Raum, M.D., is an experienced endocrinologist who recently relocated to Portland from New Orleans, to join the staff at Oregon Weight Loss Surgery, LLC (OWLS). As nearly half of OWLS’s patients suffer from type II diabetes mellitus, Dr. Raum is a valuable addition. He will expand the practice’s expertise in caring for the specific needs of patients with diabetes and others with complicated medical problems. Ph.D. in biochemistry from Bowling Green State University, concentrating in protein and fat metabolism. He has directed several comprehensive weight management programs in California and Louisiana over the last 20 years.
