Robotic urology and prostate surgery
Robotic surgery is a significant advance in prostate cancer treatment, with superior control for the surgeon and significant benefits for you. For our robotic surgeries, Legacy uses the state-of-the-art da Vinci® Surgical System, which has been successful in thousands of surgeries worldwide. Additionally, we have the highest volume of da Vinci® surgeries in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The Legacy Prostate Cancer Center performed its first robot-assisted prostatectomy in 2006, and we're constantly finding new ways to improve your quality of care. In fact, over the last year alone we decreased our prostatectomy patients' average length of stay by 35 percent, to just under three days.
