Clinical Trial

Legacy Medical Group - Columbia Vascular Specialists is one of only 275 healthcare facilities participating in a carotid artery stenting (a.k.a. Sapphire) study. The study evaluates stenting outcomes of high-risk patients who are not candidates for caratoid endarterectomy. Marcos Barnatan, MD, is leading the study, which will enroll 45 patients at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. Our clinic is communicating with primary care providers and neurologists who may have patients who are appropriate for this study.
