For chest pain
Patients with chest pain or other heart attack symptoms are treated within seconds at our Chest Pain Center. Care actually begins in the ambulance and continues in the emergency room, where patients are either immediately admitted as an inpatient or admitted for observation.
If a patient is actually having a heart attack when they arrive at the hospital, our award-winning cardiac intervention program has everything that's needed, right on the spot. Legacy Meridian Park meets the criteria for a Chest Pain Center established by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, a nonprofit international society dedicated to eliminating heart disease as the leading cause of death worldwide.
We have a kid-friendly waiting area just for children, equipped with child-sized furniture and separated from the adult waiting area. Our relationship with Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel offers easy access to unparalleled pediatric expertise for the most serious and complex cases.
When does a child need emergency care? The guidelines below can help. For extra peace of mind, we suggest that you fill out a consent form and leave it with your babysitter or temporary guardian, in case you're not available when your child needs emergency care.
