About Legacy

When Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center and HealthLink came together in 1989, Legacy Health System was born. What is now known as “Legacy Health” is one of the largest private sector employers in the Portland metropolitan area. We provide an integrated network of health care services, including acute and critical care, inpatient and outpatient treatment, community health education and a variety of specialty services.
