In May 2012, three identical brothers were born at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center to Jessica and dad, Eric from Independence, Oregon.

How rare are identical triplets? One report puts it at one in 60,000 pregnancies while another says it’s more unusual at one in 500,000.

Liam, Bradley and Eli Beasly arrived more than three months before their due date and were cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

Jessica experienced her first Mother’s Day as a mother of five, with all of her children 5-years-old and under.
“My biggest worry has been their health, because they don’t have an immune system like a full-term baby,” said Jessica. She kept them isolated at home from December through May under the advice of her pediatrician.

The triplets’ two older siblings Sophia, 5 and Zachary, 3 have turned into mom’s little helpers.
“I want to make her a special breakfast,” said daughter Sophia, “probably French toast ‘cause I love my mommy.”
