Legacy in the News: Conferences address breast cancer, health literacy

Physicians and other care providers are a little wiser when it comes to health literacy and various issues around breast cancer thanks to two conferences recently hosted by Legacy Health.

The article highlights physician perspectives from the Health Literacy Conference: Toward a Culture of Clarity and the Breast Cancer Issues Conference. Legacy physicians Minot Cleveland, M.D., medical director for employee health, Robert Vissers, M.D., medical director for emergency services, and hospitalist Kevin Breger, M.D. were interviewed about their perspectives and roles in the health literacy conference. Legacy physician Melinda Muller, M.D., clinical vice president for primary care, was featured for her presentation at the breast cancer conference.
