12 hour shifts

Number of Licensed Patient Beds:

32

Average Daily Unit Census:

135 patients per day

Average Length of Stay:

Variable; 2 hours for admitted patients

Number RNs Working Each Shift:

Minimum 5 , maximum 12

Skill Mix: 

RNs, LPNs, ED Technicians, unit secretary

Style of Nursing & Usual Patient Assignment:

Usually 3 pts per RN depending on area working and acuity of patients

Special Skill Sets Usually Required of RNs: 

ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC certifications; critical care skillsl/experience
