I grew up in Portland area and have stayed local for my training and career. I received my Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy from Oregon State University and completed residency training at the Veteran’s Administration in Portland. I worked for a year at Oregon Health Sciences University and the rest of my career has been spent at Legacy Health where I have served in a number of roles including Clinical Specialist and Clinical Pharmacy Manager for the system. I have been fortunate to serve as the PGY1 residency program director since its beginning in 2001. My areas of interest include leadership development and practice management. I enjoy serving as a preceptor for both students and residents. I am active in the Oregon Society of Health System Pharmacists and have served in a number of position, mostly recently as the President of our society. I received recognition as OSHP Pharmacist of the Year in 2012. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading and Timbers soccer games.

I grew up in Montana and, after receiving bachelor degrees in biology and chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University, moved out to Portland for the weather (if you can believe it!). I received a doctorate of pharmacy from Oregon State University/Oregon Health & Science University and completed a residency training program in ambulatory care with Providence Medical Group.

I am Legacy’s Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, supporting and developing good pharmaceutical practices in our outpatient clinics. My professional interests include primary care, especially chronic pain and other chronic disease management, encouraging patient empowerment, development of pharmacy practice and pharmacy leaders, and continued evolution of multidisciplinary integration of the health care system.

I grew up in Portland and attended Oregon State University for my bachelor degree in general science and chemistry (Go Beavs!). I received my doctorate of pharmacy from Oregon State University/Oregon Health & Science University then completed my PGY1 residency training with Legacy Health. After residency training, I started the pharmacy emergency medicine service at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, which remains as my practice site. My professional interests include emergency medicine, particularly toxicology and pediatric emergencies, as well as leadership development and precepting. In my free time, my husband and I chase around our very busy toddler, 3 cats and dog.
