Specimen Collection Requirements

Collect

Serum or Plasma, two 5.0 mL gold (SST), two 7.0 mL red, three 4.0 mL lavender (EDTA) or three 3.0 mL mint green (lithium heparin, PST) top tubes

Handling

Allow serum to clot completely at room temperature (minimum: 30 minutes). Centrifuge and separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP.

3.0 mL Serum/Plasma (8.75 mL minimum whole blood draw)
