Chlamydia by BD QX ProbeTec (CT/BD). Liquid Based Cytology (LBC), Endocervical Swab, Vaginal Swab, Male Urethral Swab, Urine. Other rare specimen types, including: throat, rectal, eye, skin or other non-FDA approved specimen type, may be submitted for testing.
Culture Chlamydia: Swab of urethra, cervix, rectum (anus), eye; Peritoneal fluid
Pediatric: nasopharyngeal swab or wash
Vaginal specimen sources (VAG) are only acceptable from possible child abuse cases (primarily CARES NW or similar clients).
