t(14;18)(q32;q21) - IGH/BCL-2
This probe is designed to detect reciprocal translocation between chromosome 14 and 18, t(14;18)(q32;q21). This translocation is the most common translocation in human lymphoid malignancies and is characteristic of Follicular Lymphoma. It occurs in 70-90% of all follicular lymphomas and 10-30% of diffuse large cell lymphomas (DLBCL). This probe can differentiate between IGH-BCL2 and IGH-MALT1 rearrangements that are cytogenetically identical.
