Specimen Collection Requirements

Collect

Serum, one gold (SST) toptube

Handling

Separate serum from cells ASAP. Pre and 30-day post Haemophilus Influezae B vaccination. Specimens should be submitted together for testing. Post specimens should be drawn 30 days after immunization and must be received within 60 days of pre specimen. Specimens must be clearly marked as Pre-Vaccine or Post-Vaccine so specimens will be saved and tested simultaneously.
