Handling

Syringes with needles will not be accepted. Potential controlled substances must be submitted by an individual with a DEA controlled substance license - typically pharmacy or physician.

For pharmacy specimens, indicate what substance is expected and concentration. Include an unopened vial or syringe of the same drug in question, to be used as a quality control.

Must submit specimens with a letter of instruction and include billing and reporting information. Call 503-413-5295, Legacy Toxicology Client Services, if further information is required.
