Education and support from Legacy

When Legacy implements an upgrade to its Epic electronic health record in April 2014, medical staff members will begin using ICD-10 terms and documentation standards.

For physicians and providers

  • Free ICD-10 online e-learning modules located on Legacy’s E+ system are being assigned to medical staff. Look for email from EPlusOnline.

We encourage you to complete your online ICD-10 education prior to attending the separate Epic training (see below).

You  do not need to take your ICD-10 training with Legacy. If you choose to complete ICD-10 education through another organization, please send an email with attestation of completion to ICD10providerregistration@lhs.org and include the name of the organization where the training was completed.

Questions? Contact Legacy’s ICD-10 Training Coordinator, Cristin Ebert, 503-415-5813

For your office staff

  • Office personnel of Legacy medical staff can get free ICD-10 training through online e-learning modules located on HealthStream

Please have your office manager contact Cristin Ebert, ICD-10 training coordinator, at 503-415-5813 or via e-mail ICD10providerregistration@lhs.org

Classroom training for Epic upgrade

  • Physicians and providers must register. Contact Jason Reed, Epic registrar, at 503-413-3363

Epic training and ICD-10 training are separate. The Epic training for physicians will cover updates in Epic to version 2012, review of complex workflows and best practices. Training will be 2-4 hour classroom sessions at the Legacy Training Center at Conway through April 12, 2014. To see when and where classes are offered, review the Epic Upgrade Training Course Catalog.
