Recent changes bolster Legacy’s leadership ranks
George Brown, M.D., Legacy president and chief executive officer, and Mike Newcomb, D.O., senior vice-president and chief operating officer, in the last several weeks announced a number of important leadership changes.
"Legacy is growing both in terms of size and complexity," said Dr. Brown. "That brings change and the need for the best people we can find to lead our organization."
"When we have vacancies due to retirements or personal choices, as occurred with Finance, Legal, Randall Children’s Hospital and Legacy Medical Group, or when we make organizational changes," he continued, "as we did with behavioral health and oncology services, it’s an opportunity. It’s a chance to offer advancement to current team members and also to recruit those we feel can significantly contribute to Legacy’s future."
"This line-up positions us extremely well as we continue to embrace the challenges facing the health care industry," he said.
