Spōk secure messaging – a technology to improve provider communication
Recently we have received a lot of interest in Spōk Mobile, one of the provider performance measures in the LHP 2017 Clinical Integration program. Spōk Mobile is a secure messaging platform that Legacy-affiliated providers are adopting this year to send and receive HIPAA-secure messaging from their smart phones. LHP providers who enroll in Legacy’s Spōk application can communicate with other LHP members who are also enrolled in Spōk. Having all LHP providers adopt Spōk Mobile provides a single, consistent way for providers to communicate with one another. Read the more in the Quality Corner.
Mass attestation: Practice administrators can now attest to a single Provider Citizenship measure on behalf of multiple providers at one time. Examples are completion of clinical integration education or one of the learning modules, or Legacy Spōk sign-up. This reduces the number of clicks on your dashboard. You’ll find a tip sheet and video demonstration on the member-exclusive LHP team site.
Auto-attestation for CI education: When you complete the 2017 clinical education video in E+, your attestation form will be updated and the appropriate credit will automatically be assigned to your LHP Dashboard. There will be a delay of a few days before your credit will appear on your dashboard. This summer we plan on having the auto-attestation function in place for completing a learning module.
MACRA-related news: Assessments and Forum
MACRA Assessments: The LHP MACRA assessment program is underway. More than 60 LHP practices have already completed an assessment. Based on their assessment, these practices receive a custom report with guidance and recommendations on how to prepare for their MACRA participation.
The feedback from participating practices has been positive in terms of both the assessment experience and results. “The assessment was so quick, and the results were tremendously helpful in identifying where we need to focus,” said one member. Another commented, “It is very comforting to know that we have an expert to rely on, as MACRA is complicated stuff!”
Practice administrators: Contract your Field Operations Adviser if you have not yet completed a MACRA assessment.
June 19 MACRA forum reminder: Practice administrators and providers are invited to learn more about MACRA and talk one-on-one with LHP experts at a free forum at the Legacy Emanuel Lorenzen Conference Center, 6-8 p.m. on June 19. Topics covered:
