Gifts of toys and other items

Programs and services geared toward children can greatly benefit from gifts of clothing, shoes, toiletries, comfort items, toys and games and gift cards.

Below are specific items needed for Randall Children’s Hospital and CARES Northwest, a child abuse treatment program collaboration between Kaiser Permanente, OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Providence Health & Services and Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

Please note: Due to heightened infection control requirements, we can no longer accept stuffed animals of any sort.

Help brighten a child's day all year long – at Randall Children’s Hospital

As part of the family-centered care offered at Randall Children's Hospital, we strive to help children feel comfortable and relaxed while they are in the hospital. Every child at Randall Children's Hospital receives a toy, and kids who are hospitalized during the holidays or a birthday get a special toy, book or craft project to lift their spirits. This means we go through a lot of toys and always need help replenishing our stock.

Please see our list of toys, activity supplies and other needs. You may also view instructions for dropping off toys. We provide a receipt for tax purposes. You may also make a cash donation to the Child Life Program. To schedule a toy drop-off, or for information about how to organize a toy drive by your school or organization, please contact Sally Kirchoff with our Child Life Program at 503-413-4322 or

Donate new clothes and shoes needed for abused and neglected children – at CARES Northwest

Your donation of new clothes and shoes will provide warmth and comfort to the many children who arrive at CARES Northwest wearing dirty clothing, worn-out shoes or no shoes at all– or provide clothes for children whose clothing is taken into evidence for law enforcement.
