Pregnancy and newborn education
Legacy Health offers a wide variety of classes for expecting parents, new parents and even grandparents. We know that expecting a child can be a wonderful time for any family and we want you to be prepared. The more you know about childbirth and parenting, the more confident you will be about this life-changing event
Please register by your fourth month of pregnancy and complete all classes at least one month before your due date. We offer convenient online class registration for all of our pregnancy and newborn classes.
Class fees include registration for the expectant mom, a support person and all materials. Your insurance health plan may cover part or all of the cost of this class. Please contact your health plan before attending class to determine if reimbursement is available and to find out how to get reimbursed.
Cancellations and refund policy
You will receive a full refund for any paid class that you cancel or reschedule at least two business days in advance. There are no refunds if you cancel or reschedule within two business days of the class. In the unlikely event that Legacy has to cancel or reschedule a paid event, you will either be fully refunded or able to reschedule.
We recommend that first time parents attend at least one class in each of the following categories:

- New parent support
- Maternity tours - Legacy Emanuel, Legacy Good Samaritan, Legacy Meridian Park and Legacy Mount Hood. Register for a free tour of one of our Family Birth Centers and ask questions about your hospital stay.
