Fitness classes

Fighting osteoporosis with exercise

Keeping fit helps to fight the effects of osteoporosis. A regular fitness program will help to: 

  • Maintain bone strength 
  • Reduce the likelihood of falling 
  • Improve posture and body mechanics 
  • Strengthen the heart and lungs to increase energy level 
  • Provide socialization and support 

We offer ongoing fitness classes, guided by a therapist, to address osteoporosis. Everyone works to his or her own ability, and there's no floor work.

Class registration is month-to-month, participants can register through the Legacy Events website. Please wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes. For more information, call 503-413-7753.

Time: Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30–11:30 a.m.  

Fee: The price of the class is $32 per month with unlimited participation for the month.
