Parking at Legacy Good Samaritan
To make sure patients and visitors can easily get to our hospital and clinics, we have many free parking options. This page gives details.
NEW Parking for general public
As of Monday, October 3, 2016, Legacy Good Samaritan's parking structure is available for short term, paid public parking. Click here to learn more.
Parking for neighbors
We want to help our neighbors and nearby businesses by offering parking on nights and weekends. Please go here to learn how businesses, neighbors and local employees can use our parking lots.
Parking for patients and visitors
Parking is free for patients and visitors.
We have several options for parking
Use our parking structures
You may park for free in any of our three parking structures, which have gates. To do so, you will take a ticket at the gate. You will have to receive a validation card from your clinic or hospital destination before you leave your visit. When exiting the parking structure, feed your ticket into the machine and scan your validation to exit the parking structure. If you pull into the structure to drop off a patient and are out within 15 minutes, you do not need validation.
You may also use our free valet parking from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: just pull up to the main entrance, N.W. 22nd Avenue and Marshall Street. If you stay after 5 p.m., we’ll help you retrieve your vehicle. Call "0" from inside the hospital or 503-413-7911.
You can often find parking on the streets around the hospital, much of it free. Most of the free parking has limits from two to four hours. Eventually, there will be meters on N.W. 23rd and 21st avenues, with limits from two to four hours –– you will be able to refill those meters.
All our parking structures have handicap spaces.
We ask that vendors please seek parking in the loading dock lot (those spaces are limited to one-hour) on N.W. Northrup Street and 22nd Avenue; or in the gravel surface lot, adjacent to N.W. Lovejoy Street and N.W. 22nd. If those are full, vendors should consider on-street parking. As a last resort, vendors can use any of our parking structures; you’ll need to get validation to exit.
