For patients and visitors at Legacy Silverton

We want your stay with us - or your visit - to be as pleasant and comfortable as possible. If you have further questions please call 503-873-1500.

The information below is specific to Legacy Silverton. Here's more information that applies to all Legacy hospitals.

Courtesy services

Bank machines: A cash machine is located on the main level across from the cafeteria.

The Gift Shop is located in the main hospital lobby. Open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. If you have questions, please call 503-873-1778.

Lost and found items can be requested by calling 503-873-1589.

Interpreter services: The hospital has access to interpreters for a number of foreign languages. Your nurse will be happy to provide more information this free service.

Mail, flowers and balloons will be delivered to the patient's room. (Some exceptions in critical care areas.) Because many patients are allergic to latex balloons, please don't bring them to the hospital.

Notary services are available to patients free of charge upon availability. Ask your nurse for more information.

Prescriptions may be filled at the Woodburn Pharmacy located at 1475 Mt. Hood Ave., Woodburn, OR 97071.

Wireless Internet service
 is provided as a convenience to patients and visitors. To access, view available wireless networks and click on Guest. For network security, certain websites are unavailable (Facebook, MySpace, etc.). Legacy Silverton is not responsible for changes or damages to your equipment resulting from accessing our wireless network.

Dining

Legacy Silverton is proud to provide room service for inpatient meal delivery. We provide you with freshly prepared, made to order meals.

You may order your meals using our room service menu, located in your room, anytime between 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Dial extension 1111 to place your order. If the line is busy, please leave a message with your order. The staff will confirm your call within five minutes. If you are hungry when the café is closed, ask your nurse for assistance in obtaining a nutritious snack or beverage.

Guest meals may be ordered if your family members or friends wish to dine with you at bedside. For this reason, the daily menu is offered at a nominal cost. Please dial 1111 during café hours to order guest meals. Restaurant meal charges must be paid in cash to the room service staff.

The Harvest Grille is located near the main entrance to the hospital. Our menu items are produced fresh in our café daily. We feature a wide variety of Northwest favorites, deli items, Mexican foods and a daily special. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m.–10:30 a.m. Lunch and dinner are served from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Vending machines are also located in the Harvest Grille.The espresso bar is located across the hall from the Harvest Grille and next door to the gift shop. It is open between 8 a.m.–4 p.m.  

Outside Food - Please check with your nurse before accepting food other than that provided by the hospital.

Free parking is available on the Legacy Silverton campus. See a campus map for locations.

CareVan Transportation, Silverton Health's transportation program, provides safe and reliable medical transportation. Complimentary rides are provided to and from Legacy Silverton Medical Center and our affiliated clinics. Donations cheerfully accepted. Appointments encouraged.

Safety

Electrical equipment - Due to government safety codes, the only items you may use in patient rooms are battery-operated shavers, radios, clocks and laptop computers. Please leave all other electrical equipment at home.

Tobacco-free policy - Legacy Health is now entirely tobacco-free. (If you're trying to quit, we can help!) 

Spiritual care

Our hospital chaplain is available to listen, comfort and encourage. If you would like a visit by a priest, minister, rabbi or other spiritual counselor, please contact your nurse or the chaplain by dialing extension 1738.

Our chapel offers a calm, church-like setting and is located near the Medical-Surgical Waiting Area. Patients, families and visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for prayer and reflection.

Patient & Family Services

We are here to help with community resources, support groups, government programs and financial issues. We can provide information and referrals for many community, state and federal healthcare resources. For assistance and information, dial Care Management at extension 1596 or 1579.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are generally between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., but can vary according to patient needs. Please keep in mind:

  • Patients need care. Mornings and early afternoons are busy times for patients, doctors and nurses. Treatments, personal care and consultations usually happen between 7:00 a.m–3:00 p.m.
  • Patients need rest. Please keep visits brief and limit the number of visitors. On the day of surgery, check with the nursing staff before entering a patient's room. If you'd like to call a patient's room phone, please do it before 9:00 p.m.
  • Patients need privacy. You may be asked to leave briefly during procedures, treatments, or other care activities.
