Legacy Health Nationally Recognized for Wind Leadership

Earlier this week Legacy Health was recognized with Portland General Electric's "Outstanding Leadership in Clean Wind Contribution" award. PGE hosts this annual event to thank participants in their Clean Wind renewable energy purchase program.

Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center and Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center are served by PGE, and participate in the PGE Clean Wind program. Each hospital buys a percentage of their power through PGE's clean wind program, which is the most successful program in the nation.

The award was presented by PGE CEO Jim Piro, Portland's Mayor Sam Adams and former Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski. Pat Lydon, Sustainability and Strategic Resource Coordinator for Legacy Health accepted on behalf of Legacy. Pat's hard work and vigilance directly contributed to this award and deserves our full recognition for this honor.
