Ultra marathoner Hans Kroese can't get enough of running
Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center physical therapist, Hans Kroese, shows the same passion for getting other people in shape that he does for himself. Kroese’s extreme love of running inspired him to run triple ultra marathons (98 miles) in Peru this past December to raise awareness and money to help poor Peruvians attain running water, electricity and medical care. Kroese got his inspiration from the his hero, Dean Karnazes, who once ran across the entire American continent - a distance of 3,000 miles. Kroese, who started running ultra marathons to “get in shape” at age 41 says of his hero, “Dean had such a passion for running. He made me believe I could push my limits. The human body is capable of much more than we think, even at an advanced age.”
