Legacy in the News: Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel gets "Happy" in music video
Oregon Music News and FOX 12
March 7, 2014
Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel’s patients, nurses and pediatric oncologists Jason Glover, M.D. and Nameeta Richard, M.D. helped the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA) celebrate its new partnership with Grammy winner and Oscar nominee Pharrell Williams by making a “Happy” video. Everyone had a fantastic time dancing and singing along to the infectious pop song. CCA staff, Portland Timbers and others were also included in the video.
Pharrell has partnered with the CCA’s MyMusicRx program, which the CCA provides to all of our inpatients. The program lets kids “prescribe” their music experience. They can choose to interact with in-hospital music specialists in bedside sing-a-longs, learn to play new instruments, or request technology and headphones to access MyMusicRx.org.
