Legacy Mount Hood hosts Healthy Kids’ Fair

The free 29th annual event takes place Saturday, Sept. 6, 10am to 2pm

(Gresham, OR) — Join the fun at Legacy Mount Hood’s 29th annual Healthy Kids’ Fair celebrating children’s health and safety awareness. This free family-friendly event will be Saturday, September 6th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the medical center campus, 24800 SE Stark Street in Gresham.

Featured Activities: 

  • Healthy Living. Bouncy obstacle course, games, nutrition, safety activities, and sports demos encourage kids to learn about health and get moving.
  • Bike helmet fitting and sale. Purchase children and adult bike helmets ($6) and sports helmets at discounted prices thanks to support from Legacy Foundations, Legacy Medical Staff and Trauma Nurses Talk Tough. Purchase with cash or check.
  • Car Safety Seat Check clinic. Car seats play a vital role in keeping children safe. Trained safety experts will make sure safety seat are correctly installed and guide in proper use.
  • Public Safety Vehicles. See a helicopter, ambulances, rescue boat, police cars, and fire truck.
  • Go Green and Recycle. Bring used car safety seats to be recycled for free.
  • Low-cost vaccines. Multnomah County Health provides low-cost vaccines needed for school admission (10am to noon only). 
  • Surgi Bear. Kids get hands on experience with robotic surgery tools (no sharp objects) as they remove candy from the Surgi Bear’s belly.
  • Teddy Bear Clinic. Remember to bring a favorite stuffed animal for repair.
