A patient story: Bill Norris, heart hero
Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center | Heart Care
Bill Norris is a dad, an adventurer, and has been an Olympic-level cross-country runner. He also had been diagnosed with mild mitral valve prolapse, but had no symptoms at first.
In patients with mitral valve prolapse, the two valve flaps of the heart's mitral valve don't close smoothly or evenly. In most cases it is harmless, but sometimes it requires treatment.
When his condition become several (mitral valve regurgitation), Bill was advised by several doctors to get his mitral valve repaired.
He interviewed several surgeons, but when he met Andy Tsen, M.D., he found an engaging, affable and skilled surgeon that he had confidence in.
