Outstanding care, time after time

Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Heart Care

"I can't speak more highly of Randall Children's Hospital and what they've done for my daughter."

Denise Kaski recalls the day her daughter Elizabeth entered the world. August 27, 2009, her precious little girl was born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect.

Elizabeth was taken directly into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanual. At only 16 days old, Elizabeth received a Blalock-Taussig (BT) shunt to help with bloodflow. During this first experience at Randall Children's, Elizabeth spent a total of six weeks in the NICU.

Fast forward a few years to July of 2011 when Elizabeth returned to Randall Children's Hospital where she had open heart surgery to repair her heart defect.

Most recently, Elizabeth found herself back at Randall Children's Hospital, in April 2013. This time, she was treated for salmonella.

With every visit, Denise raved about the consistency of outstanding care her daughter received from everyone she came into contact with at the children's hospital.

"Each and every time she has been admitted, she's received the most outstanding care. I can't speak more highly of Randall Children's Hospital and what they've done for my daughter."
