In a three-part-series in the Oregonian, Jay, a patient at the Randall Children’s Transgender Clinic (T-Clinic), shares his story of transition. From coming out to his family, working with Dr. Karin Selva at the T-Clinic, struggling with depression, going through therapy and finally having top surgery at Legacy Good Samaritan with Dr. Hema Thakar from Legacy Medical Group – Reconstructive Surgery. The series shares Jay’s struggles and triumphs but most importantly, the critical need for access to health care for the transgender community.
