‘Thank you ... for saving me’
In the nine months since its opening, the Unity Center for Behavioral Health is helping lives. Read a few of the comments given by patients:
“I can't begin to tell you all how much I appreciate the help you gave me as a patient. Your staff is beyond outstanding … Thankfully, you are there for all of us who need a place like Unity.”
“The people at your facility saved my life and gave me the tools to reroute my life in a positive manner … due to your staff, I’m confident I can be a healthy, happy new me.”
“People here actually care. For once, I feel safe and like I belong."
“I learned that I was not in this fight alone.”
“Thank you for everything. I am back to myself again.”
“Unity really helped me to get the treatment I so needed … I can’t thank you enough for completely saving me.”
Also, this from a staff member:
“It is amazing to see the dedication, compassion and extraordinary work that everyone in at Unity is doing. I know without a shadow of a doubt if any of my friends or family ever needed psychiatric emergency service, it would be refreshing knowing there is a place like Unity … where they are treated with dignity, respect and honesty.”
Unity is a community-focused collaboration between Adventist Health, Kaiser Permanente, Legacy Health and Oregon Health & Science University to create a comprehensive psychiatric emergency care and inpatient facility for people facing a mental health crisis. At Unity, patients find a pathway to hope, community and recovery.
