Legacy Salmon Creek president honored by Wash. business magazine
Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center president Bryce Helgerson has been honored in the “Leaders in Health Care 2017” award in Washington State. Seattle Business Magazine named him as one of two Executives of the Year for hospitals outside the Puget Sound.
Helgerson received the silver award at the awards dinner held in Seattle.
Seattle Business Magazine coordinates the awards program to highlight the best and brightest in health care; those individuals and institutions leading the charge to improve Washington's world-class health care sector.
The recipients were chosen by a panel of expert judges.
Bryce Helgerson graduated from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri in 1998 with a MHA in Healthcare Administration. He completed his fellowship in Healthcare Administration at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland Oregon in 1999.
He served as department administrator in the department of Neurological Surgery at OHSU until 2005 when he joined Legacy Health. He served as Chief Executive Officer at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center. He then took on responsibilities at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Randall Children’s Hospital as vice president of hospital operations.
In 2014, he came to Legacy Salmon Creek as hospital president.
Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is a 250 bed, community-based hospital. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care services, medical and surgical services, neonatal intensive care, operative services, family birth center, cardiac catheterization and complete radiology services. Legacy Salmon Creek is part of the OHSU Knight–Legacy Health Cancer Collaborative providing the best in cancer care.
