Supportive friends reunited at Unity Center
A couple years ago, Haley Choi, R.N., and Amanda Piraino, R.N., worked side by side at another local hospital and have supported each other as friends and coworkers. “We kind of hit it off,” says Haley.
So, when Haley went to work at Unity Center for Behavioral Health, she thought of recommending Amanda because of her strong leadership skills. “She was quick on her feet,” says Haley. “I thought she’d be great.”
They now work as nurses on opposite shifts and on different floors at Unity Center, but the two are connected by a strong support system.
Even working and as a single mom, Amanda recently went back to school to get her bachelor’s degree. Then she encouraged Haley to follow in her footsteps, which she's doing now.
Amanda and Haley both like working at Unity Center. Amanda says the teams have come together quickly, “it seems like we’ve been here forever.” Amanda says the crew is “totally awesome.”
The Legacy Employee Referral Program offers cash bonuses for referrals that result in a hire, but more importantly, helps friends and family give each other a helping hand.
