I grew up on a horse farm in Southeastern Ohio, and have always loved problem-solving and working with my hands. While in medical school in Cleveland, I immediately gravitated to the operating room, and have never looked back. I moved to the Pacific Northwest for residency, and spent six wonderful years in Seattle training with some truly iconic figures in the field of general and colorectal surgery. I am a huge proponent of minimally-invasive surgery, and regularly use robotics in the treatment of colon and rectal diseases. I understand that no one wants to need a surgeon, and I make it a priority to give my patients the experience I would want for my own family.

Patient Ratings and Comments

Legacy wants every patient to have great care, every time. To help measure and improve patient satisfaction, we send surveys to randomly selected patients after their appointments. We use this feedback from the surveys to improve and enhance the care we offer. It works like this: Real patients give us feedback through Press Ganey, a patient satisfaction survey company. They verify and confirm the results. National Research Corporation, an independent company, provides the technology to show the ratings and comments on our website
