About Me:

Dr. Zinser grew up in the Gresham area, working through college on a local nursery/farm. After finishing his medical education in Des Moines, Iowa and subsequently his Family Medicine Residency in Vancouver, Washington, he has established practice with Legacy Health Medical Group - Firwood Clinic. He looks forward to caring for patients of all ages in his home communities when he joins Firwood Clinic in September 2012. Hobbies include: Hiking, Spending time with my family

I was able to go in for a same day visit. I didn't get to see my provider but was in great hands with the provider I saw. I was treated with compassion and respect by ALL staff I encountered. You guys are the best!!

My visit went very smoothly.But do wonder I why I was not asked about a blood test ,since I am overall healthy and only see the doctors ones year or so .Is this a normal practice,for someone in my age group?

Unfortunately I will not be able to continue using Legacy for my health care because legacy and Regence BlueCross cannot get together on payment rates. If Legacy leaves Regence I will drop both of you as a matter of principle I like Legacy but will not tolerate having to make any type of switch so I will dump both of you if Legacy and Regence cannot come to terms

Dr. Zinser was incredible. It was my first visit to see him as my new primary care physician. Its knowledge about myself and my record was exemplary. His bedside manners were relaxed and professional. The entire experience from the entire team was unbelievable. Even better than I had imagined it would be.

I had never been seen by Dr Zinser. He was courteous, respectfully courteous and very thorough. He explained my injury in a way I was able to understand. Haven't had a head injury before. Dr Zinser's explanation and comments set me at ease. Very good doctor! Thank you.

I love my doctor and always leave feeling very heard, seen and respected. I'm lucky to have found Dr. Zinser. He never makes me feel like a number. I Always feel cared about and he's so amazing at his jobs and is always working with me to reverse my type 2 diabetes. I'd be lost without his guidance and him as a Dr. Helping me through tis journey. I am grateful and with all my medical needs, he helps me. Pick the best option and thoughtful explains each to me. Dr. Zinser listened to my painful problem, took X-rays and explained results. Also explained the anatomy of why I had pain and how long it would persist until complete healing of stressed cartilage. He did an excellent job of covering for my regular PC who was away. I was very Impressed with his expertise and highly recommend him.

Dr. Zinser has been my primary physician for the last ten years. He knows my history and spends time discussing my issues and involves me in the plan of treatment. He is holistic and thorough. He is the best PCP I have ever known!

Dr. Zinser is not the provider that I typically see at firwood, but was friendly and treated me as if we'd met before! He was very knowledgeable, eager to explain my test result, and gave me several explanations for my symptoms!!

Firwood does a great job. I feel comfortable, and safe in the office. I see things running smoothly when I come in for visits. The staff here does provide good general practices. These things are important so you can focus on your care, and it's appreciated. I have shared good and bad experiences here. Life Is like that, and I have found Legacy Firwood to provide the level of care that is necessary to continue healthy living. Thank you

Dr Zinser is a great rural doc. His nurses and MA staff are also excellent and can often handle issues without taking Zinser's time. I do not like the management and director staff at Legacy. There is no one who advocates for patients.Higher up managers do more to support your great front line staff. The phone recordings are horrible. Make so a patient can get to a human easier. The humans at Firwood are excellent. Treat them like the treasures they are and get rid of the recordings on the phone.
